Harry Styles is not a womanizer

We need to be critical of media groups and individuals who want to mislabel individuals.

Recently, I have observed how toxic certain media groups and individuals can be when it comes to criticising, judging and labeling certain celebrities and influencers. One of the celebrity icons who has been mislabeled the most is Harry Styles.

Many Harry Styles's fans and One Direction fans have been frustrated with the way the media has depicted Harry Styles since they have misrepresented him on a number of occasions. In the latest reports, certain groups have promoted this idea that Harry is a womanizer and allegedly objectifies and mistreats women. However, this is the complete opposite of  who Harry Styles is.

In interviews, in person and on social media, Harry Styles openly advocates and supports equal rights for all races, genders and sexual orientations. In addition to this, Harry Styles has supported and is a member of #HeForShe, the United Nation's women empowerment branch. Furthermore, Harry believes that equality for all is fundamental and not political.

Despite all of this, there are those who still like to assume that any action Harry does with an individual is a sign of him "pulling a move" or flirting, and they consequentially create a negative image of Harry being someone who doesn't treat women with respect or simply sees them as trophy. Not only is this once again a heteronormative and hypermasculine issue, but it is also upsetting for him and his fans because fake stories continue to be made about him which are simply not true.

I strongly encourage that you always check your sources and the news sites that you read the news from. Some stories can be exceptionally damaging especially when they don't have proper facts and are in fact using stories to gain views.

Finally, to the Harry Styles fandom and the One Direction fandom, you are all exceptional, loving and supportive individuals and it's great to see that there are people out there who fight for the truth and want to live in a happy, better world for all.

  1. I'm writing a book about that... taking his side of the history... is a romantic history but I'm trying to use the Harry Styles he actually is... not this boy that mídia try to sell... I intend to give the book for him next year in São Paulo, at his concert... HOPE I CAN GIVE IT TO HIM!
Congratulations for this... Thank God still have people like you in the world!!!
